How to Join RSAK

Two Ways to Join the Red Stick Area Kickball League

  1. Join an existing team:
    1. Come play at our pickup games (anyone and everyone is welcome to join in) on Sunday afternoons.  In the summer we meet at 5pm, and we adjust for the daylight hours throughout the year.   This is a great way to meet potential teammates.  Check www.brkickball.com for locations.
    2. Join our R-SMACK message board and post that you're looking for a team.   Interested team captains will usually respond, and teams get settled that way very often.
  2. Form your own team.
    1. Find 10-18 people who want to play kickball.  Teams consist of nine (9) players on the field.  All teams are co-recreational; they must play with a minimum of six (6) players in the field and have a gender differential of no more than one (1), for example, 5 guys and 4 girls playing in the field.
    2. Read the rules.  The most up-to-date version is on our Downloads page.
    3. Attend Ref Training at the beginning of the season.   At least three people per team will need to attend to help out with umpire/referee/scorekeeper assignments.  These volunteer assignments are crucial to the league’s success.   Training is required prior to fulfilling an assignment position.
RSAK has two seasons throughout the year.  Spring Season typically starts in late March and ends in June.  Fall Season typically starts in August and ends in early December.
